Benefits:

• The gum resins of tree - gugguls, show antirheumatic (anti arthritis) properties.
• The gummy reason is also mentioned in traditional Ayurvedic and Unani texts as an effective remedy for diarrhoea, dysentery,ringworm, boils, fevers, skin and blood diseases, cardiovascular diseases, mouth sores, bad throat, bronchitis, asthma, cough, vaginal discharge, hair loss etc.
• It is also diaphoretic, astringent, diuretic and acts both as internal and external stimulant.

Geographical Distribution

Boswellia serrata Is found in the dry hilly forests of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Odisha, Assam, and central Penninsular regions of Assam and Andhra Pradesh.
